Early Learning Ventures: Building Paths, Leading With Action (PDF)
By The Merage Foundation , Ed.

2008
Summary: This document indicates that the Merage Foundation is launching Early Learning Ventures in response to the decline in high school and college graduation rates. Merage Early Learning Ventures will accelerate quality improvements, increase operational effectiveness, and support momentum for broad reform. The approach will increase coordination in the current system and stimulate new investments in early care and education (ECE) organizations. Central to this goal is the launch of the Early Learning Alliance, which is a community-based network comprised of small ECE businesses that work together to deliver services in a more efficient way. The benefits of the alliance model are listed (e.g., lower costs from economies of scale in business functions, ability to offer a range of family support services).
