ImageThe Los Angeles District encompasses 226,000 square miles in four states, protects 420 miles of Southern California shoreline from Morro Bay to the Mexican border support nine military bases Established in 1898, the district has been recognized for providing engineering services for the southwest for more than 100 years. A few of our current missions:

Flood Control
Navigation
Military construction
Regulatory Permitting
Work for Others
Emergency Operations
Engineering Design
Environmental Restoration

Our multi-disciplined team of engineers, planners, and environmental, municipal, and recreation specialists are also available, as needed, for other Federal and state customers on a reimbursable basis. Los Angeles District is one of the largest civil works districts in the nation; New programs allow us to partner with local agencies and groups to meet their engineering needs.
