The lake has two recreational areas set aside for swimming. These areas are marked off and vessels (including personal watercraft) are prohibited from entering the swimming area space. These areas are located in Meadowmere park and in Twin Coves park (campers only).

It is strongly recommended that all swimmers use life jackets while swimming in the lake. There are no lifeguards at either swimming area; all swimmers swim at their own risk.
