The Law Library and the Constitution Project cosponsored a day-long conference on the right to the effective assistance of counsel and, in particular, the case of Strickland v. Washington. This panel explored "The Significance of Strickland: The High Stakes of Failing to Ensure the Effective Assistance of Counsel." The panelists included prominent district and state attorneys, appellate judges, law professors and experts from legal rights organizations.
