The Law Library and the Constitution Project cosponsored a day-long conference on the right to the effective assistance of counsel and, in particular, the case of Strickland v. Washington. This panels explored "The Effective Assistance of Counsel: Why it is Important and is the Strickland Standard Working?" The panelists included prominent district and state attorneys, appellate judges, law professors and experts from legal rights organizations.
