Biography:
Rosemary Wells career as a writer and illustrator spans more than 30 years and 60 books. She is the recipient of numerous awards including the Osborne Humor Award, Children's Book Council Award and the Edgar Allan Poe Award. She is best known for the Max and Ruby series, which follows the everyday adventures of sibling bunnies. Wells will appear in the Children's Pavilion.

The 2007 National Book Festival, organized and sponsored by the Library of Congress and hosted by First Lady Laura Bush will be held on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., between 7th and 14th streets from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The festival is free and open to the public.
