Reading Materials for Metropolitan Opera Broadcasts, 2003-2004 2003

Information

The performances of the Metropolitan Opera's annual season are broadcast on radio. The broadcast information is listed below. All times United States Eastern Time. Email the NLS Music Section nlsm@loc.gov to request items in this list.

At the end of each listing you will find NLS Music Section book ordering numbers for libretti and other material about each opera being performed on that date, if the NLS Music Section has supporting material. The braille music (prefix: BRM) and large-print music (LPM) items are libretti. The cassette book music (CBM) items are musically illustrated lectures and do not contain libretti.

In cases where more than one order number appears for braille or large print, the libretto may be the language of the opera and English, the language of the opera only, or English only. For lectures, the cassette items, one book may be solely about that opera, another may be about the composer, another may be about the composer with significant material about the opera being broadcast.

To request more information about listed books or a copy of material of interest to you, contact the Music Section using this email link, nlsm@loc.gov, or call the Music Section at 1-800-424-8567.
