Federal legislation allows employers to offer their employees public mass transportation benefits of up to $115 maximum per month ($1,380 per year) http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-drop/rp-07-66.pdf NASA Headquarters uses the Metrochek and SmartBenefits program, which was established through Metro. Vanpool riders are required to go into the Metro database to update their accounts to reflect the $115 amount.
