Contact: Rose Butler 358-0184

The monthly subsidy for Transportation Fringe Benefits limits for transit and vanpools has increased from $110 to $115. Federal legislation allows employers to offer their employees public mass transportation benefits of up to $115 maximum per month ($1,380 per year) http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-drop/rp-07-66.pdf NASA Headquarters uses the Metrochek and SmartBenefits program, which was established through Metro. Vanpool riders are required to go into the Metro database to update their accounts to reflect the $115 amount. Other Metro participants need not do anything further for their account to reflect the increase.
