Family vacation cabins at the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District (MWCD) lake parks are still a bargain.

     Rental rates will be held at the same level in 2009 for the third consecutive year for families staying in the family vacation cabins located at four MWCD lake parks.

     The maximum rates charged next year are the same as those from 2007 for the cabins located at Atwood, Pleasant Hill, Seneca and Tappan lake parks. The cabins rent for $110 per night and $675 per week at Atwood Park, $90 per night and $525 per week at Pleasant Hill and Seneca lake parks, and $133 per night and $835 per week at Tappan Lake Park.

     Discounted rates also are available at varying times of the year.

     Family vacation cabins accommodate up to six occupants as each feature two bedrooms, a private bathroom, kitchen area and convenient access to the lake. Units at Atwood and Tappan parks feature heating and air conditioning systems.

     Reservations for the 2009 season will be accepted beginning Nov. 3 by contacting the individual parks - Atwood Park at (330) 343-6780, Pleasant Hill Park at (419) 938-7884, Seneca Lake Park at (740) 685-6013 and Tappan Park at (740) 922-3469. Pleasant Hill and Tappan parks also have a larger house at each park available for rental; details are available by contacting the park offices.
