Camping
Primitive, tent, and RV camping are available in six different Corps of Engineers managed parks around the lake, as well as Patterson Harbor and Alma City Park.
Camp pads with electrical hook-ups located in Methodist Cove and Hunter Cove parks are $16 - 18 per night, from May 1 to October 1. Non-electrical sites are $12 per night in these parks for the same time period. Gate Attendants are stationed at the entrance to Hunter Cove and Methodist Cove parks, and are on duty 5-6 days a week. These Attendants are here to help you, our visitors. Whether it is to address your walk-in camping needs, assist with previously made reservations, or to answer general questions. In Hunter Cove Park, these same camp pads may be used during the months of October, November, and April for a charge of $8.00 per night. This off-season charge reflects a reduced service level.
Gremlin Cove Park does not offer electrical service but does have showers available with a price of $8 - $10 per night.
The remaining campgrounds, North Outlet, and South Outlet, and Cedar Point parks, which provide picnic tables, fire rings, vault toilets, and trash dumpsters, are available for $8 per night. These fees are collected by roving park rangers and/or by use of a self-pay vault, with park rangers or volunteer park hosts being the primary source of contact in the parks.
