The second meeting of the Haiti Working Group will examine the deteriorating public security situation that confronts President-elect Preval.

Despite efforts by the UN Stabilization Mission to bolster the Haitian National Police, slum gangs, drug lords and remnants of Haiti's disbanded army operate with impunity. The threat posed to Haiti's future and to U.S. interests will be discussed by a panel of distinguished experts.
