Army Corps of Engineers Contact: Dave Giliam, 206-764-3745 or Leslie Kaye, Public Affairs 206.764.3751 March 27, 2000 YAKIMA—Excess irrigation water rights from the Roza Irrigation District are being offered for lease by the Army Corps of Engineers. Bids are currently being accepted for 395 acres of Department of the Army water rights. This is noteworthy news in light of this year’s drought conditions. The Corps expects high demand this year and encourages the public to respond promptly. Bid forms can be obtained from: Public Works, Bldg. 810, Yakima Training Center, Wash., 98901-9399, telephone number 509-577-3402. Bid forms can also be obtained in person at the Real Estate Division, Seattle District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, 4735 East Marginal Way South, Seattle, or by mail: P.O. Box 3755, Seattle, WA 98124-3755. Ask for Invitation to Bid No. DACA67-9-01-147. Sealed bids will be opened at 1 p.m. April 26, 2001, at the Seattle District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
