Stehekin River Flood Control Advanced Measures

Contact: Andrea Takash, 206-766-6447 July 23, 2004 SEATTLE--The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' project team members are scheduled to answer questions about the Stehekin River flood control assistance July 27 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Stehekin Community Building. The project team will be in Stehekin the week of July 26 to investigate the Stehekin River in response to last fall's floods. The purpose of the July 26 meeting is for the Corps' team members to address questions and hear the concerns of the community. The Corps, in partnership with the National Park Service and Chelan County, want to learn the best way to assist Stehekin.
