These offices acquire, catalog, preserve, and distribute library and research materials from countries where such materials are essentially unavailable through conventional acquisitions methods. |

Cooperative Acquisitions Program
The Islamabad Office administers a Cooperative Acquisitions Program (CAP) acquiring materials for the Library of Congress and other participating academic, research, and public libraries in United States, Canada, and Europe.
Country Profiles
The Islamabad Cooperative Acquisitions Progran is open to all non-profit librariers and research instutions seeking to develop research library colections from Afghanistan, Iran, and Pakistan. Our acquistions, serials, and financial staff will help you devlop a profile that meets your collection devlopment and budget requirements. Through formal and informal exchange agreements office acquire materials that would otherwise not be available. Exchange partners exchange their publications with Islamabad Office. The office offers in exchange library materials that are in excess of its needs (duplicates), and selected from Library of Congress and U.S. Government publications.
