A subelement of the <profiledesc> portion of <eadheader> used for information about the encoding of the finding aid, including the person(s) or agency(ies) responsible for the coding, the date, and the circumstances under which the encoding was done.

This element is modeled on a Text Encoding Initiative (TEI) DTD header element.
