Water Resource Days
The third annual Water Resource Days concluded Saturday May 17, 2008 at Louisiana Boardwalk in Bossier City. This two day event provided the public and school children the opportunity to learn best water safety practices and other safety issues. The opportunity to properly fit and provide free life jackets for children was the highlight of the event. The service was provided by the Corps of Engineers. The U.S. Coast Guard along with other local agencies demonstrated water-related rescues to emphasize boating hazards. The theme of the event is placing Safety First in or around the water and conservation of our water resources.
