Group Areas at Granger Lake
Wilson H. Fox Park

This group shelter offers a beautiful view of the lake with scattered shade trees.  Although only available for day use rental, it is located a short distance from the west boat ramp and swimming beach.  There are three large picnic tables located under a 36 X 20 covered shelter that has disabled access.  There is one large upright grill, two small covered upright grills, drinking fountain, water hydrant, overhead lights and electrical outlets. There are two restroom facilities within walking distance (75 and 165 yards).

Occupancy: No more than 50 people without a special event permit.

Parking Spaces:  A new 20 space parking lot was added in 2003 at the group shelter.  Additional parallel parking located on the group shelter loop road.

Rental Time: 6:00am - Sunset 

Seasonal Closure: December 1 through the end of February.

Rental includes boat ramp and swim beach fee.

If you are interested in playing a challenging game of volleyball or horseshoes that were added in 2004, contact the gate attendant for volleyball and net, or horseshoes at no extra charge.

Willis Creek Park

If you prefer a secluded spot away from a busy campground, this group shelter is perfect for you. This group shelter offers both day use or overnight tent camping, with plenty of shade trees.  This group shelter is located on the edge of the lake and is perfect for those interested in fishing or just walking on the waters edge.  There are three large picnic tables located under a 36 X 20 covered shelter.  There is one large upright grill, two small covered upright grills, a fire ring, drinking fountain, flag pole, water hydrant, overhead lights and electrical outlets. There is one restroom facility adjacent to parking lot.

Occupancy: No more than 50 people without a special event permit.

Parking:  Twenty (20) spaces within walking distance (Approximately 75 yards) from the group shelter.
                           
Rental Time: 10:00am - 10:00am
          (This includes boat ramp fee.)

Friendship Park

This group shelter offers both day use or overnight tent camping, with plenty of shade trees.  There are three large picnic tables located under a 36 X 20 covered shelter that has disabled access.  There is one large upright grill, two small covered/open upright grills, a fire ring, water hydrant, overhead lights and electrical outlets.  The restroom facility for this shelter is located in the picnic area approximately 230 yards away.  

Occupancy: No more than 50 people without a special event permit.

Parking:  Twenty (20) spaces are located adjacent to the group shelter.  Ten (10) additional spaces are located a tenth of a mile South of the shelter in the overflow parking lot.  A short trail connects the parking lot with the shelter.   
                           

Rental Time: 10:00am - 10:00am

Rental includes boat ramp and swim beach fee.
