The Office of Child Support EnforcementGiving Hope and Support to America's Children

DEAR COLLEAGUE LETTER

DCL-08-14

DATE: April 9, 2008

TO: ALL STATE IV-D DIRECTORS

RE: Self-Assessment Reporting

Dear Colleague:

This is a reminder that State Self-Assessment Reports must be submitted to the appropriate Regional Office, with a copy to the Office of Child Support Enforcement Central Office, no later than six months after the end of the Self-Assessment review period. An electronic version of the report in Microsoft Word format is preferred. However, if an electronic submission is not possible, please send a hard copy to the following address:

HHS, ACF, OCSE
Division of Planning, Research, and Evaluation
4th Floor, Aerospace Bldg.
370 L'Enfant Promenade, S.W.
Washington, D.C. 20447

The recommended format and instructions for completing the report can be found at: http://www.acf.hhs.gov/programs/cse/pol/AT/2007/at-07-04.htm. While States are not required to use the recommended format, they are strongly encouraged to do so. The recommended format offers a standardized approach for States to present substantive information with an appropriate level of effort. If you have questions about your State's report, please contact Delores M. Johnson at (202) 401-5537 or djohnson@acf.hhs.gov.

Sincerely,

Margot Bean
Commissioner
Office of Child Support Enforcement
