Dear Colleague:

On April 4, 2008, the Federal Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE) implemented the bulk of the Federal Parent Locator Service (FPLS) Major Release 08-01. This release includes enhancements to the Electronic Income Withholding System (e-IWO), the Federal Case Registry (FCR), the Federal Offset System, the Intergovernmental Referral Guide (IRG) and the Query Interstate Cases for Kids (QUICK) System. These enhancements were developed to streamline Locate Response data and to improve service to families and are inline with continuous efforts to promote automated use of FPLS data and to improve data quality. Please note that the IRG changes and one of the QUICK changes have already been implemented, and one FCR change (Title II Pending) is targeted for implementation in late May. A summary of Release 08-01 enhancements is enclosed.

The Release Manifest for the April Release 08-01, and detailed specifications regarding the modifications to e-IWO, FCR, Federal Offset, IRG and QUICK, are posted on OCSE’s Website: http://www.acf.hhs.gov/programs/cse/newhire/library/relmgnt/relmgnt.htm.
