Summary: This resource paper presents an overview of student financial aid in 2005 and discusses the roles and responsibilities of those who play a part in the process of providing aid to students with disabilities. The paper also addresses the financial aid application procedure and suggests timelines and resources for individuals who are seeking financial aid. Various types of financial aid are discussed, with particular attention to those expenses that are considered disability-related. Additional possibilities for sources of financial assistance are suggested.
