Anderson receives SERDP award

anderson photoA team of CERL researchers, led by Mr. Alan Anderson, received the Conservation Project of the Year Award from the Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program (SERDP). This is the second year in a row that this prestigious award has been presented to a researcher from the CERL Military Lands Program. Anderson was recognized for his work in the development and improvement of the Army Training and Testing Area Carrying Capacity Model. This model is used to analyze environmental effects of maneuver training at more than 110 military installations worldwide. In particular, Anderson's work has provided critical information that has helped facilitate stationing of the new Stryker brigades in Washington, Hawaii, and Alaska.
