CERL's Holcomb receives National Award

Frank Holcomb19 Jan 2007 -- Champaign, Ill. -- Frank Holcomb, fuel cell team leader at the Champaign site, received the 2006 U.S. Fuel Cell Council Pathfinder Award at the 30th Annual Fuel Cell Seminar in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The Pathfinder Award recognizes the contribution of persons, outside the industry, to the commercialization of fuel cells in the United States. Holcomb, a researcher in the Energy Branch, manages a Defense Department program to demonstrate fuel cells for on-site electrical generation at military installations. The demonstrations provide valuable feedback to fuel cell manufacturers for improving their products.
