Safety Information
The last military activities at Camp Ibis were conducted more than forty years ago; but as recently as 2004, ordnance items including the following were discovered and removed or destroyed in the area:

  • high-explosive projectiles
  • practice land mines with spotting charges

Munitions and explosives of concern (MEC) still may be present in the area, and these items are still capable of causing serious injury or death. View pictures of munitions associated with Camp Ibis.

ImageIf you find suspicious items that may be military ordnance/munitions, DO NOT TOUCH! Mark the area for identification and call 911 immediately!
