There are several ways to move around this tool:


Grey Buttons: In general, to advance to the next step in the tool, use the grey buttons. Depending on where you are in the tool, the buttons tell you what you can do, like “Continue.” Click on the button to go to the next step.

Tabbed Menu Bar: Across the top of the pop-up windows, you'll see different “tabs” with words. Click on the tab to get more information on a particular topic. If the tab is white it means that you are on that page. The other tabs will be “faded” grey. Links going down the left side of the page take you to different sections of that page or to a new page within that tab.

Back Links and Buttons: Some pages on this tool will have a link that you can click on to go back to the previous page. Or, you can use the back button on your browser to get back to the previous page.

Starting Over: To start over, use the “NHC Home” link to get back to the Nursing Home Compare Home page.

Learning More: At many points throughout the tool, you can learn more about a particular topic. Look for the green “Learn More” box on the right side of the screen and click on a topic.
