Welcome to the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors (NASMHPD), home to the only member organization representing state executives responsible for the $29.5 billion public mental health service delivery system serving 6.1 million people annually in all 50 states, 4 territories, and the District of Columbia.  NASMHPD operates under a cooperative agreement with the National Governors Association

The 2007 Community Mental Health Services Mental Health Block Grant Expenditures Report. This report was prepared by the NASMHPD Research Institute for SAMHSA/CMHS, and it discusses how states have used Block Grant funding and provides a justification for an increase in funding for the Block Grant.
