Help with US Map Pages

When you browse through the state or area maps, you will arrive at a 1°x2° quadrangle map or regional map if that is more suitable. The map shows faults in the quadrangle or region, labeled with index numbers. Look in the table below the map for the fault number you want more information about, and click the number.

If the fault number is not underlined, there is no link, for there is no database entry for that fault. There is not an error. The database is incomplete, especially for California.

Clicking a valid link will open the text database record for that fault. From there, you can select more or less information depending on your need.

BROWSING

Around each map are arrows where links exist to adjoining maps. Click to move between maps. If there is no arrow in some direction, there is no data in the adjoining map.
