Teens, working, hours, and safety

Carol Runyan of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill says some equipment is considered dangerous for teens.

"Using slicers is of course a danger in terms of serious cuts. And that’s not allowed for workers under age 18. Similarly, box crushers and dough mixers are very dangerous in that they can result in amputations, usually of hands or arms." (15 seconds)
