Nationwide Permits

The 2007 nationwide permits (NWPs) became effective on March 19, 2007.  They will expire on March 18, 2012.  The March 12, 2007, Federal Register notice contains the NWPs, their general conditions and definitions.   For more information on the issuance of the NWPs see Alaska District’s Special Public Notice 2007-217.

Individuals wishing to perform work under these NWPs must ensure that their project meets all applicable terms and conditions.

Many of the NWPs require you notify and receive written verification from the Corps prior to beginning work. This is called a Pre-Construction Notification or PCN. When a PCN is required, certain information is necessary per NWP general condition 27. Completing either format of the Pre-Construction Notification Form below will help you satisfy the information requirements of general condition 27. Once you have completed the form send it to our appropriate office.

The documents and supporting information below are provided to aid in the understanding the NWP program and current NWPs.
