This map depicts the boundaries of Walker Pass Common Allotment. The allotment is comprised of approximately 96,900 acres and extends north to south for about 22 miles from below Little Lake to the south of Highway 178. It is bordered on the east by U.S. Highway 395 and on the west by the crest of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The area from the base of mountains to the crest of the mountains is designated as wilderness. There are portions two wilderness areas – Sacatar Trail in the north and Kiavah in the south within the allotment boundary. The Owens Peak Wilderness is wholly within the allotment and extends from No Name Canyon to route 178. The allotment is divided into three grazing areas which are bounded by fences and natural barriers.
