Special Initiatives Offer a Wealth of Resources and Opportunities

The Corporation supports a variety of innovation grants and special initiatives, including:

Faith-Based and Other Community Initiatives: Faith-based and other community organizations recognize the value that national service volunteers bring to their organizations' missions. National service support comes in different ways. AmeriCorps members and Senior Corp volunteers provide full-time or intensive service to faith-based and other community organizations, which often operate with limited resources. In addition, they help faith-based and other community organizations accomplish more by recruiting, training, and supervising additional volunteers. Learn more.

Next Generation Grants foster the expansion of national service by providing seed money to help organizations plan and implement new service programs. Learn more by visiting the Notices of Funds Availability section of the site.

Challenge Grants encourage private fundraising by providing $1 in Corporation funding for every $2 of private funding an organization raises. These matching grants help link nonprofit organizations with previously untapped sources of private funds to build sustainable service and volunteer programs. Learn more by visiting the Notices of Funds Availability section of the site.

Engaging Persons with Disabilities in National and Community Service: These grants fund innovative national or regional partnership models in which persons with disabilities are engaged in service that results in a measurable impact on the community served. Disability grants are intended to engage more Americans with disabilities in national and community service. Learn more by visiting the Notices of Funds Availability section of the site.
