First anecdotal occurrence
Anecdotal reports from shellfish growers in British Columbia suggest Didemnum sp. has been present for more than 10 years in the Tofino region, and has increased in the last few years. A grower in Deep Bay has observed the species for the last 4 years; and saw it for at least 14 years in Gorge Harbour on Cortes Island.
