NASA continues to take affirmative steps to
better ensure that employees have the freedom to compete on a fair and level playing field and that the applicant pool for NASA employment is as diverse as possible. Goals and Objectives
To ensure equal employment opportunity, the NASA Special Emphasis Programs focus on matters such as recruitment, promotions, and achievement awards. To the maximum extent possible, NASA:
assures that recruitment activities reach all sources of job candidates;
provides training and advice to managers and supervisors to assure their understanding and implementation of EEO policies and practices;
participates with other employers, schools, and public and private groups in cooperative efforts to increase participation
in NASA programs and activities;
and
periodically evaluates the effectiveness of EEO policy and procedure implementation.
