Senior Fellow Hassan Barari will discuss an overlooked but important phenomenon: the underdevelopment of Israeli studies in the Arab world. He presents a critical assessment of the status of Israeli studies since the establishment of Israel in 1948, and how it relates to the Arab-Israeli conflict.
In addition to serving as a columnist for Al Ghad Daily (a daily newspaper in Amman), he has held a research and teaching position at the University of Jordan’s Center for Strategic Studies. He also continues to participate in diplomatic training for Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Barari holds a Ph.D. in international relations from England’s University of Durham.
