How do I find trainings in my area?
  Question
How do I find trainings in my area?
  Answer
Local child care resource and referral (CCR&R) agencies can provide information about training opportunities, professional development initiatives, and other resources in your area. To learn how to locate a CCR&R agency in your area, visit the National Child Care Information and Technical Assistance Center (NCCIC), a service of the Child Care Bureau, Web site at http://nccic.acf.hhs.gov/statedata/dirs/display.cfm?title=ccrr.

Many States have a system that provides information about training and other resources to help people who work in the early care and education field grow professionally. Many of these State systems have a training calendar or a database of trainers and/or training sessions. The State Professional Development Systems and Initiatives for the Early Childhood Workforce document on NCCIC’s Web site at http://nccic.acf.hhs.gov/pubs/goodstart/state-ece.html includes the names and contact information for these systems.
