Summary: This document provides a brief summary of child care demographics in Wyoming. Over 17,668 children spend part or all of their day in licensed child care arrangements. In more than 63 percent of the families with children under the age of six years, both parents work. Child care is essential for Wyoming’s economic development and stability. About 5,100 children are served by Wyoming’s child care subsidy program.
