Mission
Recognizing the growing importance of the Federal Government's
investment fund activities, the Department of the Treasury
created the Office of Investment Fund Administration within
the Fiscal Assistant Secretary's Office to oversee the operations
of Investment Fund administration, and to help ensure that
the entire process is operating effectively and efficiently.
The purpose of this office is to enhance and support the
existing authorities or responsibilitiesof offices currently
involved in Investment Fund administration, both within
and outside theDepartment of the Treasury, thereby supporting
those offices in carefully and effectivelyexecuting their
responsibilities and helping to ensure that all parts of
a large and complexprocess are operating smoothly.
