The purpose of this letter is to report on
the closure of commitment 4.3.3 in the implementation Plan for the Defense
Nuclear Facility Safety Board Recommendation 98-2, “Accelerating Safety Management
Improvements at the Pantex Plant.”
The Transportation Safety Analysis Report
(TSAR) Implementation Plan was integrated with plans to implement other new
Safety Analysis Report controls (reference enclosure) in an effort to
consolidate and coordinate available resources. The controls for implementing the TSAR can be
found in implementation Groups 1 and 5. Therefore, it is our contention this meets the
intent of the commitment.
