BGen Reist Signs JEBWG Charter for Marines

Shown signing the charter are, from left, RAdm Thomas Moore, Navy; LtGen Mitchell Stevenson, Army; Lt Gen Loren Reno, Air Force; and BGen. David Reist, Marine Corps.

The first big step towards achieving commonality and interoperability of expeditionary basing equipment in the Joint force was taken April 13 when the Service Logistics Chiefs came together to sign the Joint Expeditionary Basing Working Group (JEBWG) Charter. BGen David G. Reist , Director, Logistics Plans, Policies, and Strategic Mobility, signed on behalf of the Marine Corps to advance this logistics modernizing and standardizing initiative.

The effort initiated by the charter will help bring common procurement and use of expeditionary basing equipment which, in turn, will decrease the footprint in a deployed environment and place less of a burden on the overall supply chain.
