TIMSS 2007 Results

The Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) 2007 is the fourth comparison of mathematics and science achievement carried out since 1995 by the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA), an international organization of national research institutions and governmental research agencies. In 2007, 36 countries participated at grade four and 48 participated at grade eight.

To assist readers in understanding how the TIMSS compares to other assessments, a brief document ( 281 KB) has been prepared that details the differences and similarities, as well as a comparison of the results in relation to the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) and the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA).
