Defense Acquisition University (DAU)
The Defense Acquisition University (DAU) touches members of the Department of Defense (DoD) Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (AT&L) workforce throughout all professional career stages. DAU provides a full range of basic, intermediate, and advanced certification training, assignment-specific training, performance support, knowledge sharing assets, job-relevant applied research, and continuous learning opportunities.
Mission & Roles
The DAU mission is to provide practitioner training, career management, and services to enable the AT&L community to make smart business decisions and deliver timely and affordable capabilities to the warfighter.
With a vision of enabling the DoD AT&L workforce to achieve the right acquisition outcomes, DAU:
- Trains the AT&L Workforce through certification, assignment-specific, and executive-level courses
- Promotes career-long learning through its Continuous Learning Center
- Offers performance support to the AT&L Workforce through consulting, Rapid Deployment Training, and targeted training
- Facilitates knowledge sharing through webcasts, online resources & communities of practice

Mr. Frank Anderson is President of the Defense Acquisition University (DAU), an award-winning corporate university.
