“Provide premier engineering, construction, real estate, stability operations, and environmental management products and services for the Army, Air Force, other assigned U.S. Government agencies and foreign governments.” The mission is executed in nine divisions around the world with 45 subordinate districts. Additionally, we have two Centers: one at Huntsville, AL which executes our worldwide Ballistic Missile Defense Program and one at Winchester, VA which executes the bulk of our missions in the Middle East and Africa. In January 2004, the Gulf Region Division was activated in support of the Global War on Terrorism.  In addition to our warfighters/soldiers, we have USACE employees deployed and supporting the peoples and governments of Iraq and Afghanistan in the areas of reconstruction, restoration of Iraqi oil and electricity, Military construction, support Coalition Military operations – bed down & base operations facilities, Afghan National Army, Infrastructure –housing, training and operation facilities, Afghan Police Program – counter narcotics & law enforcement facilities, and supporting USAID – construction of roads, bridges, dams, schools, medical clinics & technical assistance to develop irrigation systems. Finally we have seven Laboratories which provide military related research to include digital topographic support. Our workforce has personnel spread across the country and is located in over 91+ foreign countries providing reimbursable engineering expertise throughout the world. The programs we execute in one-year can total over 15 Billion. We are the world’s premier public engineering organization responding to our nation’s needs in peace and war for the past 236 years.
