Tulsa District
is part of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers which is a major command of the U.S. Army in the Executive Branch of the Federal Government. Our mission is to supply engineering, scientific, and construction management expertise for programs which span --
Our involvement in Civil Works (water resource development for local and state communities, Indian tribes, and Federal agencies) dates back to the formation of the district in 1936. Through this program, we have constructed water resource projects spanning local flood protection projects to large multiple-purpose lake projects.

We have been a leader in installation support for our Military Construction customers since 1982. Our work has included the design and construction of hospitals, barracks, runways, administrative and educational facilities for the Army, Air Force, Navy, and other Federal agencies.

In 1989, we were named the Environmental Restoration program Design Center for all Corps of Engineers hazardous and toxic waste remediation work for the four-state area of Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas, and Louisiana. In this role, we investigate and design solutions to remediate soil and water contamination for local and state agencies, we are responsible for technical support and project management of the Installation Restoration Program for Army and Air Force, the Formerly Used Defense Sites Program, the Environmental Restoration Program for the Department of Energy, and provide support to the Environmental Protection Agency.

Today, we have some 650 civilian employees and 5 Army officers dedicated to meeting needs of every customer.
