Mississippi's Child Care and Development Fund Quality Infant/Toddler Earmark:


FY 2006: The Federal CCDF Quality Infant and Toddler Earmark is $1,581,740.

The funds are used in the following ways to enhance the Mississippi infant and toddler child care system (additional funds may be used to support these activities):

  • Infant Toddler Certificates (100% of the earmark is used to fund subsidies; training and other opportunities for child care workers in centers serving infants and toddlers is funded through the 4% set aside subgrant)

FY 2004: The Federal CCDF Quality Infant and Toddler Earmark was $1,633,782.

The funds were used in the following ways to enhance the Mississippi infant and toddler child care system (additional funds may have been used to support these activities):

  • Infant Toddler Certificates (subsidies).
  • Training for child care workers in centers serving infants and toddlers, provided by the Lead Agency and its Designated Agents.
  • Early Childhood Development Scholarships, which are accepted at local colleges and universities.
