Overweight from toddlerhood

Dr. Philip Nader of the University of California, San Diego says overweight preschoolers had a higher risk of being overweight as they entered their teens.

"Children who were ever overweight in preschool were more than five times as likely to be overweight at age 12, compared to children who were never overweight in the preschool period. In follow-up analysis, we found that 60 percent of children who were overweight at any time in preschool were overweight at age 12 years." (17 seconds)
