Amigos Library Services (USA) Offers a one day course "Preservation of Audiovisual Materials ".

Archimedia The European Training Network for the Promotion of Cinema Heritage runs a training program and conferences on European film heritage to all nationals of member states of the European Union, European Economic Area and Eureka Audiovisual.

Archives Association of British Columbia (Canada) "BC Archival Education and Advisory Service"

Association for Recorded Sound Collections (ARSC) "Education and Training in Audiovisual Archiving and Preservation" Listing of training opportunities, courses, discussion lists and organizations with an emphasis on recorded sound.

Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA) Offers both basic and intermediate preservation workshops at its annual conference, usually held in November. AMIA also administers competitive scholarships for graduate students who are focusing their studies in moving image preservation.

FIAF (Féderation Internationale des Archives du Film) "Education and training for archivists" An international organization of Film Archives, which seeks to ensure the preservation and exhibition of the world’s cinema heritage. Publishes a quarterly journal, provides training for international archival staff via a summer school program, and hosts International conferences and co-hosts an annual technical symposia.

George Eastman House, L. Jeffrey Selznick School of Film Preservation (USA) The first school in North America to teach the restoration, preservation, and archiving of motion pictures.

Independent Media Arts Preservation Workshops IMAP, a media arts advocacy and education organization, offers workshops in media preservation and cataloging.

Library of Congress "Archival Education Menu" Links to institutions offering archival education and training programs, institutes, or courses. Includes all archival education programs; not just archival moving image education.

National Film Preservation Board "Directories of Film Schools/Careers in Moving Image Preservation" Directory of moving image archiving education and career opportunities.

New Mexico Commission of Public Records State Records Center and Archives (USA) Offers training in care of archival records, including several courses on film and video collections.

Northeast Document Conservation Center (USA) NEDC periodically holds a conference entitled "School for Scanning." School for Scanning is taught by some of the nation’s leading experts in digital library development and provides current, essential information for managers of paper-based collections (including photographs) who are seeking to create, manage, and preserve digital assets. Conference content includes project management, interoperability, copyright and other legal issues, content selection for digitization, text and image digitization, the IT perspective, essentials of delivery systems, digital asset management, metadata, and digital longevity and preservation.

New York University, Tisch School of the Arts, Moving Image Archiving and Preservation (MIAP) (USA) Masters program in preservation of film, video, digital, and new media.

Simmons College, Graduate School of Library and Information Science (Boston, MA, USA) "Continuing Education" Offers moving image archive related workshops.

Society of Archivists (UK) The Society runs two courses leading to qualifications: the Diploma in Archive Administration and the Certificate in Archive Conservation.

Universiteit van Amsterdam, Graduate School for the Humanities Masters program in preservation and presentation of the moving image.

University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Moving Image Archive Studies (USA) Interdepartmental degree program leading to a Master of Arts. Jointly sponsored by UCLA's Film and Television Archive, Department of Information Studies, and Department of Film, Television, and Digital Media.

University of East Anglia (UK) Offers a Masters degree in Film Studies with Archiving Option.

University of Texas at Austin School of Information, Preservation and Conservation Studies Program The PCS program provides training for careers in the conservation and preservation of library and archives collections. Courses provide opportunities for students to focus on audio preservation, digital preservation, and archival enterprise, among other areas.
