The Tata Energy Research Institute (TERI), located in New Delhi, India, provides an overview of the climate in India. The profile highlights the trends and predictions of climate parameters in India. Basic statistics on the population, land area, emissions, energy consumption, and fuels consumption are available. World Resources Institute published the statistics in "World Resources 1998-99: A Guide to Global Environment." India is party to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
