Hunting is permitted on all government property surrounding Nolin River Lake, except in parks, recreation areas, marinas, and operation areas (dam, emergency spillway). No permit is required to hunt on government property. All Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources hunting regulations are enforced on government property.

While hunting is permitted on government property, hunters must remember that most of this property at Nolin River Lake is confined to a narrow strip of land, approximately 100-200 feet wide. Hunters must be aware of the government boundary line, and should not hunt on adjacent private property without consent of the owner of that property.

Some larger tracts of government property do exist around the lake, but hunting pressure in these areas is relatively high. For additional information about hunting at Nolin River Lake, contact the project office.
