Developers

MIC’s technical developers are funded by the National Science Foundation grant through the first development phase (2002-2005) and include Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, Georgia Institute of Technology, and the University of Washington.

New browser window will open for Rutgers University Libraries. Rutgers University Libraries is the principal development site for NSF-funded MIC development. Rutgers University Libraries is responsible for system integration, union catalog and metadata database-driven infrastructure.

Grace Agnew (Principal Investigator)

Responsible for overall architecture, core registry design, metadata design and project management.

Yang Yu (Programmer)

Union Catalog architect responsible for database design, component programming and programming oversight.

Mary Beth Weber (Audiovisual Cataloging Head)

Responsible for metadata design and portal development.

Ruth Bogan (Catalog Portal Librarian/Database Management Head)

Responsible for metadata design and portal development.

Tefko Saracevic (School of Communication, Information and Library Studies)

Responsible for site and portal assessment and evaluation.

New browser window will open for the Georgia Institute of Technology Interactive Media Technology Center. Georgia Institute of Technology Interactive Media Technology Center is responsible for website development, including logo, layout and design, search facility, graphical views of the moving image organization community and dynamic portal generation.

W. Edward Price (Co-Principal Investigator)

Responsible for website architecture and oversight.

Tiffany O'Quinn (Web Developer)

Responsible for web and logo layout and design.

Peter Presti (Programmer)

Responsible for search facility, graphical views and dynamic portal generation.

New browser window will open for University of Washington Computing & Communications. University of Washington Computing & Communications is responsible for design and development of the MIC Archive Directory database, a Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) implementation programmed for web input by participating organizations.

James DeRoest (Co-Principal Investigator)

Responsible for oversight and design of the directory database.

Tom Remmers (Directory Programmer)

Responsible for directory programming and implementation.
