Software Quality Attributes

The Software Quality Attributes Working Group (SQAWG) is examining and working to improve the state of the practice in software quality. This is being done by increasing the focus on integrated system and software quality in Department of Defense (DoD) Acquisition, particularly by placing an emphasis on integrated systems and software architectures throughout the system lifecycle. The expected benefits of this effort include the following:

• Capture stakeholders architecture and product quality considerations explicitly, systematically, and quantitatively
• Provide for an integrated systems and software quality approach for DoD software-intensive systems
• Improves state-of-the-practice for integrated system and software architecting and engineering
