- REACT Online Course
This online course was prepared by USIP on behalf of the State Department and is required for Americans seeking positions with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. REACT provides an introduction to and description of OSCE, including historical background, current context, and institutional structure. It also includes a basic introduction to conflict-management skills, as well as analytical/historical background on active and potential conflicts in Eastern Europe, Southeastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Caucasus.
- Conflict Analysis Online Course
This course provides a step-by-step comprehensive introduction to conflict analysis, including a thorough treatment of the Curve of Conflict with a focus on how to identify interventions that are appropriate for particular phases of a conflict. The course includes extensive case studies of Rwanda and Kosovo, which highlight what steps were and weren't taken at each stage of those conflicts. Also available in Arabic; will be made available in Chinese, Farsi, Russian, and Spanish during FY08.
